Hannes Burger

Johann Anton Burger , called Hannes Burger (born June 18, 1937 in Munich- Schwabing) is a German journalist and writer .

Live and act

After graduating from the Kurfürst-Maximilian-Gymnasium in Burghausen , Burger studied philosophy, psychology, theology, Bavarian history and newspaper studies in Passau and Munich, at times also in the Passau seminary. He started out as an editor in 1961 at the Munich Catholic Church Newspaper . From 1968 he worked for the Süddeutsche Zeitung , from 1979 to 1986 he was its correspondent in Vienna and Prague . From 1986 he worked as a freelance journalist and columnist, since 1990 as Bavaria correspondent for the newspaper Die Welt .

From 1982 to 2003 Hannes Burger wrote the salvation speeches for Walter Sedlmayr , Max Grießer and Erich Hallhuber at the politician Derblecken am Nockherberg . In 1984 he created the character of the TV gatekeeper Alois Baierl for the television glossary Nix für Ungut . He made his debut as a writer in 1971 with the novel Feichtenreut - Novel of a Village . This was followed by more than twenty books on topics such as history, ecology and satire as well as Bavarica .

In addition to several journalist prizes, Hannes Burger also received the Ernst Hoferichter Prize , the Ludwig Thoma Medal of the City of Munich, the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 1992 and the Bavarian Order of Merit . He was a member of the Munich tower scribe .
