Twelve teams played against each other twice on 22 match days, divided into a first round and a second half. Aragaz Gyumri, who was relegated from Bardsragujn chumb last year, was not active this year.

If two teams were tied at the top of the table, there was a playoff. The winner was promoted directly, the loser played against the penultimate of the Bardsragujn chumb for promotion.
