Arata Kodama ( Japanese 児 玉 新 Kodama Arata ; born October 8, 1982 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kodama learned to play football on the Gamba Osaka youth team . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2001. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2005 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . With the club he became Japanese champion in 2005 . For the club he completed 25 first division games. In 2006 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Purple Sanga . For the club he completed 31 first division games. In 2007 he moved to league competitor Shimizu S-Pulse . In 2008 he reached the final of the J.League Cup. In 2010 he reached the final of the Kaiser Cup . For the club he completed 106 first division games. In 2012 he moved to league competitor Cerezo Osaka . For the club, he completed three top division games. In 2013 he moved to league competitor Ōita Trinita .
