Aratus CA is a surface structure on the moon . It is not, as the name would suggest, a secondary crater of Aratus , but a depression in the plain of the Mare Serenitatis that is far removed from the main crater and not connected to it . North of Aratus CA, Dorsum Owen runs north. Nearby are the small craters Manuel and Yoshi .

It is also unusual that parts of this depression were named individually:

Surname position size link
Rima Sung-Mei 24.57 °  N , 11.28 °  O 4 km [1]
Vallis Christel 24.52 °  N , 11.09 °  E 2 km [2]
Vallis Krishna 24.48 °  N , 11.25 °  E 3 km [3]

Both Lorca (referring to Federico García Lorca ) and Krishna (referring to the Indian deity Krishna ) appear as names of the structure not authorized by the IAU .
