The Young Comrades Working Group (AGJG) was the youth organization of the PDS until June 1999 . It was founded in 1990. One of the founding members is the current federal manager Dietmar Bartsch .

The AGJG worked as an internal party structure. A leading member was, for example, Angela Marquardt , a member of the Bundestag for the PDS until 2002.

From mid-1998 onwards there were already signs of disintegration, so that there was a call to found a new youth association. In June 1999 this resulted in ['solid] - the socialist youth , this time not as a working group in the PDS, but as an independent association close to the PDS . After the federal election in 2005 , various state associations recognized the WASG ['solid] as their related youth association.

Between 1999 and 2007 there were only AGJG structures in Saxony , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ( Schwerin ), Saxony-Anhalt and North Rhine-Westphalia ( Aachen ).

On May 20, 2007 these were merged into the joint youth association Linksjugend ['solid] .
