AGIAMONDO - until 2019 Working Group for Development Aid eV (AGEH) - is a specialist service of German Catholics for international cooperation. Claudia Lücking-Michel is the managing director .

tasks

As a state-recognized personnel service provider, the association places skilled workers in cooperation with its partner organizations around the world.

Around 250 development workers annually are placed in the areas of organizational development, personnel development, human rights work, peace service, humanitarian aid, rural development, voluntary service and health with the cross-sectional task of HIV / AIDS.

history

At the 76th German Catholic Day in Fulda in 1954, some Catholic organizations and personalities founded an initially informal "Working Group for Development Aid". In 1959, the association of the same name was established in Cologne . The founding president was Paul Koppelberg CSSp .

In 2019 the association gave itself the new name "AGIAMONDO" , created as an artificial word .
