The Working Group for Economic Administration ( AWV ) is a non-profit association under civil law. It is institutionally funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy based on a resolution of the German Bundestag . In addition to associations and authorities, members are numerous large and medium-sized companies.

history

Since its foundation in 1926, the association has been concerned with optimizing the interfaces between business and administration. Both in the interwar period and after the re-establishment in 1950, the AWV, as an intermediary and interface between the state and the economy, played a major role in the implementation of rationalization approaches, the implementation of modern office organization, the introduction of modern technologies and the economically compatible implementation of standards and other legal and statutory requirements in the management. Against this background, the AWV has explicitly made the reduction of bureaucracy its central task for several years and carried out numerous projects to reduce bureaucracy.

Two thirds of the association's budget of around one million euros per year is provided by the BMWi. The rest are membership fees, donations and income from publications and events.
