EXTra standard

The uniform XML-based transport procedure (eXTra standard) is a freely available standard that was designed for data exchange between business and administration. The standard is edited by the Working Group for Economic Administration . The creation of the standard involved a. the DATEV , the German Federal Pension Insurance , the National Health (acting through its Information Technology Service Center of statutory health insurance (ITSG) and the Association of spare cash (vdek)) and the Federal Statistical Office participates. The eXTra standard was announced by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) on April 15, 2010 in the Federal Gazette . It is also referenced in the guidelines for data exchange in health and social services. Version 1.5 of the standard "eXTra-uniform XML-based transport procedure" has been announced in the Federal Gazette ( BAnz AT 04.12.2018 B1 ).

aims

The eXTra standard defines a technical framework for standardized XML packages that are exchanged between those involved in the process. The control data for the transfer are standardized, but the technical data are not described in eXTra. The transmission route is also not specified in the eXTra standard. So far, eXTra has been used as a web service by the existing specialist processes via the http or https protocol or via a SOAP interface .
