ArcInfo is a Swiss French- language daily newspaper . It is published by the Société Neuchâteloise de Presse in Neuchâtel , which is majority owned by Groupe ESH Médias (Editions Suisses Holding SA) owned by Philippe Hersant, the owner of the Hersant Group , and went from the two newspapers L'Express from Neuchâtel and L Impartial emerged from La Chaux-de-Fonds . The same title ArcInfo was chosen for the common news portal in 2008.

history

The two Neuchâtel leaves had had a joint coat that was produced in Neuchâtel since 1996 . Since February 7, 2007, he has been taken over by the Biel-based Le Journal du Jura , the daily newspaper for the Bernese Jura.

In 1999 the two newspapers were merged into the Société Neuchâteloise de Presse. The Wolfrath family, owned by Express since 1814 , held 62 % of the share capital through their L'Express Communication Holding, PubliGroupe 28.5% and Marc Gassmann, publisher of the Journal du Jura and the Bieler Tagblatt , 9.5% of the share capital . In spring 2002, the Wolfrath family owned Express Communication Holding sold to the French Groupe France-Antilles (today: Groupe Hersant Média ). The competition commission approved the sale. An attempt by PubliGroupe and Marc Gassmann to invoke a right of first refusal for the 62% of Express Communication Holding was unsuccessful. Hersant then brought his stake in the two newspapers into the newly founded Groupe ESH Médias (Editions Suisses Holding SA).

Since January 23, 2018, the previous titles L'Express and L'Impartial have only appeared as subtitles for the new ArcInfo newspaper .

News portal

In 2008 , the joint multimedia online platform of Express and Impartial as well as the regional TV broadcaster Canal Alpha was founded , also under the name ArcInfo , which publishes their editorial content. It has been paid for since 2010.
