Arcadium was a British psychedelic rock band from the late 1960s based around guitarist, songwriter and front man Miguel Sergides. Graham Best played bass, Allan Ellwood organ, John Albert Parker drums and Robert Ellwood the lead guitar. Except for the drummer, all band members also took part vocally. Like many bands, they first played in clubs until they got a record deal with the small label Middle Earth. In 1969 their first and only album Breathe Awhile was released on vinyl. The album has been re-released several times over the years, since 2010 it has been remixed and available on CD expanded by two tracks. The most recent CD was released in 2012 on the Smd Reper label (part of Sony Music).

The cathedral-like organ sounds, the distorted guitar sounds and the tortured chants are reminiscent of bands like The Doors , Iron Butterfly and Vanilla Fudge , completely in the style of the time.

After the release of their only album, the band and its members disappeared into oblivion.
