The Arkhangelsky Nunatakker ( Russian Го́ра Архангельская Gora Arkhangelskaja ) are a group of scattered nunatak-like rocky outcrops on the Oates coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They are located about 24 km west of the central part of the Lasarev Mountains .
They were photographed by the United States Navy during Operation Highjump (1946–1947), by participants in a Soviet Antarctic expedition in 1958 and as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1959. Originally only the largest ledge was after the Soviet geologist Andrei Dmitrijewitsch Arkhangelsky (1879–1940) was named. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) eventually extended this naming to the entire group.
