Aree Wiratthaworn ( Thai : อารีย์ วิ รัฐ ถาวร , pronunciation: [ aːriː wí-rát-ta-won ], born February 26, 1980 in Kanchanaburi Province , central Thailand ) is a Thai weightlifter .

Career

Aree Wiratthaworn celebrated her greatest success so far at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , where she won the bronze medal in the weight class up to 48 kg with a total performance of 200 kg. For Thailand she also won the bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships in the weight class up to 48 kg with 193 kg and the silver medal at the 2006 World Championships in the weight class up to 48 kg with 188 kg.
