The Aressa ( Belarusian Арэса, Раса ; Russian Оресса, Ареса, Раса ) is a right tributary of the Pzitsch in Belarus .

The Aressa rises in the northern part of Polesia in the Woblasz Minsk . It initially flows in a southerly direction. North of the district administrative center of Ljuban , a city with over 10,000 inhabitants, the river to the Ljubaner reservoir is dammed. After passing Ljuban, the Aressa flows a little further south, but then turns east. It reaches the Woblasz Homel and finally meets the flowing south Ptsich, a left tributary of the Pripyat .

The Aressa has a length of 151 km. It drains an area of 3580 km². The Aressa is largely fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge 12 km above the mouth is 15.9 m³ / s. The river freezes between November and February. In March / the first half of April, the Aressa will be ice-free again. At least in the past, the Aressa was used for rafting .
