Argeia (daughter of the Autesion)

Argeia ( Greek Ἀργεία Argeía ) is a female figure in Greek mythology .

Argeia was the daughter of the Theban king Autesion and married the Heraclid Aristodemus . She gave birth to twin brothers Prokles and Eurysthenes to her husband . After the early death of their father, the twins came under the tutelage of Theras , brother of the Argeia, and later became the first Heraclids to rule Sparta .
