Ariel Farace

Ariel Farace (* 1982 in Lanús , Buenos Aires Province ) is an Argentine writer , actor and theater director .

Career

Farace studied dramaturgy at EMAD (Escuela Metropolitana de Arte Dramático) and is a co-founder of the artist collective “Compañía Vilma Diamante”. His works have been performed in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Germany and Spain.

As part of the International Schiller Days 2007 he worked as an author and actor in the German-Spanish production “La Libertad / Freiheit”. On the occasion of the Semimontajes (dramatic readings) of the Goethe-Institut Buenos Aires, he staged Anja Hilling's play “Nostalgie 2175” in 2008 .

On September 2, 2011, his piece Ulises no sabe contar ( Ulysses can't tell ) was premiered at the Teatro Sarmiento in Buenos Aires . It takes up motifs both of Ulysses by James Joyce and the Homer 'rule odyssey back.

Farace has received numerous awards for his work, including a. the Premio Fondo Nacional de las Artes and the Premio Armando Discépolo.
