The Aripleri Passage ( Bulgarian проток Ариплери protok Aripleri ) is a 1.77 km wide strait in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Prince Gustav Canal it runs between the Yatrus Promontory on the south coast of the Trinity Peninsula and Eagle Island .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2010 after the medieval fortress Aripleri in southeastern Bulgaria .
