Arizona State Route 202 is a highway in the US state of Arizona .
The highway begins on Interstate 10 and Arizona State Route 51 in Phoenix and ends in Chandler on Interstate 10. It serves as a bypass in the greater Phoenix area, the capital of Arizona. He meets the cities of Tempe , Mesa and Gilbert . After completion, it can be divided into the three sections Red Mountain Freeway , Santan Freeway and South Mountain Freeway .

The Red Mountain Freeway runs from I-10 / AZ 51 to US 60 and passes through Tempe and Mesa. The section from Higley Road to Power Road was completed in June 2005. AZ 202 is currently ending on Power Road, of which the last section up to University Drive will not open until the end of 2008. A three mile stretch from University Road to US 60 was opened to traffic in late June 2007.
The Santan Freeway begins on US 60 and runs through the towns of Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and back to I-10. The last section of the freeway opened in June 2006.
The South Mountain Freeway is a planned section that will run from I-10 to the west of Phoenix. According to current plans, the urgently needed part should be completed by the end of 2013.
