Arkadiusz Tomasz Bratkowski (born May 13, 1959 in Hrubieszów ) is a Polish politician of the Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe party .

Bratkowski studied law and administration at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin . Later he attended various courses.

At the Zamośćer rural youth, Bratkowski was first secretary and then chairman of the voivodship board. later he was deputy chairman of the Voivodeship Council of the Union of Popular Sports Clubs in Zamość . For several years he worked as a teacher at the School Center for Mechanical Professions in Zamość.

Bratkowski was politically active from 1993, he began as an expert in the office of the Senate . Two years later, he headed Senator Jerzy Derkacz's office . In 1994 he became President of the Zamość District Council and was also a member of the Board of the Association of Polish Regional Assemblies. He held both offices until 1998, when he was appointed Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship . In 2001 he was elected to the Sejm , to which he belonged until 2005. In 2006 he returned to the Lublin Voivodeship, where he was a member of the local parliament and board. In 2010 he was President of the Parliament of the Lublin Voivodeship and was a member of the Board of the Association of Voivodeships of the Republic of Poland. In December 2011 he moved into the European Parliament . He received his mandate as part of the enlargement of Parliament through the Treaty of Lisbon .
