Arlette Marchal

Arlette Marchal (born January 29, 1902 in Paris ; † February 9, 1984 there ; born Lucienne Marie Marchal ) was a French actress .

Life

In 1920 she worked as a mannequin in the Jenny fashion salon and in 1921 she won a beauty contest in Aix-les-Bains . Marchal then received leading roles in numerous melodramas , costume films and comedies .

Mostly she embodied noble women such as a pharaoh's daughter in the Austro-British monumental film The Slave Queen in 1924 . She also worked in German and American productions. Since the beginning of the 1940s, Marchal only appeared sporadically in films and devoted himself mainly to her fashion business.
