The Armémuseum is a museum in Stockholm about the military history of Sweden .

The museum opened in 1967 and is located in the Östermalm district of Stockholm. After extensive renovation work, the museum reopened in 2002. It is dedicated to the military history of Sweden, the current military neutrality policy of Sweden and the Swedish army . The structure in which the museum is located was built in the 17th century as an arsenal for the production and storage of artillery weapons . In the museum you can find life-size replica soldiers in the uniforms of the respective centuries. Various war scenes from past battles of the Swedish armed forces have been recreated. The trophies and flags of defeated armies of the 17th and 18th centuries are displayed in a special room. An Enigma is shown in the temporary exhibition on espionage .
