Armin Bernhard (born February 5, 1954 ) is a former German automobile racing driver .

Career

Bernhard started his career in 1986 in the German Renault 5 Cup, in which he finished 7th overall in the debut season. In 1987 he remained loyal to this series and improved to fourth place in the overall ranking. In his third year in the series, in 1988, he became a champion. In 1989 he switched to the DTM, to which he remained loyal until 1994. He drove continuously in a privately entered Mercedes-Benz 190 E and scored a total of 9 points in this time. In 1995 he switched to the German Touring Car Cup, where he finished 34th overall.
