Armin Blind

Armin Blind (born April 1, 1975 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and lawyer. Since November 2010 he has been a member of the Vienna City Council and State Parliament .

Life

Armin Blind was born as the son of the lawyer and fraternity member Kurth-Bodo Blind and his wife Elfriede Blind, née Höglinger. His father was active as a member of the FPÖ state parliament in Vienna, his mother was active as a district councilor. He grew up with his sister, born in 1977, who became Miss Vienna in 1996. Blind works as a civil servant lawyer in the Ombudsman's Office .

Blind began his political career at Ring Freiheitlicher Jugend (RFJ), where he was a board member of the Vienna regional group until September 2003. He is active within the party as district party chairman of the FPÖ Penzing and is also involved as a member of the state party executive of the FPÖ Vienna and as a member of the FPÖ federal party leadership. He was a district councilor in Penzing and was sworn in on November 25, 2010 as a member of the Vienna City Council and a member of the Vienna State Parliament. He holds a mandate in the constituency of Penzing. He is a member of the Immunity College of the Vienna State Parliament, a member of the Control Committee in the Vienna City Council and deputy of the assessors in the Appeals Senate of the Vienna City Senate. In his private life, Blind is involved as a shooting attendant in the ÖTB-Turnverein Sechshaus 1866 and is a member of the Academic Burschenschaft Aldania.
