Armin Fuhrer

Armin Fuhrer (* 1963 in Düsseldorf ) is a German journalist and publicist.

Life

Fuhrer studied history , political science and public law at the Universities of Göttingen and Hamburg . During his studies he gained his first journalistic experience as a freelancer for two Hamburg newspapers. He then attended the journalism school of the Axel Springer Verlag before Fuhrer joined the daily newspaper Die Welt in 1994 . There he worked until the end of 2000, among other things, as a domestic affairs editor and parliamentary correspondent. At the beginning of 2001, Fuhrer switched to the news magazine Focus , where he initially worked as a capital correspondent in Berlin and until 2015 as an editor in the Investigation department.

In addition to his journalistic activities, he published several books. His publications focus on recent German history, but he also devotes himself to current political events. In 2006 he published a biography of the future German President Christian Wulff , the second edition of which appeared in 2010.
