Armin Jahl (born October 29, 1947 in Dortmund ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2010 .

biography

After graduating from primary school in 1962, Jahl completed training as an administrative clerk. He then worked as an administrative employee for the city of Dortmund. From 2002 to 2010 he was elected shop steward for the people with disabilities employed by the Dortmund city administration. He is a member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt Dortmund-Nette and has been a member of the ver.di trade union , formerly ÖTV, since 1963 .

Armin Jahl is married, has a daughter and two step-sons.

politics

Jahl joined the SPD in 1972 and was chairman of the local association in Nette for 14 years . He is chairman of the SPD city district association Mengede and since 2002 deputy chairman of the Dortmund SPD. Furthermore, since 1996 he has been state chairman of the Working Group for Employee Issues (AfA) North Rhine-Westphalia.

In the state elections in 2010 and 2012 , Jahl was elected to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 111 (Dortmund I) . In parliament he is a full member of the Committee on Building, Housing, Urban Development and Transport and a full member of the Committee on Budgetary Control.
