Armin Russenberger

Armin Russenberger (born November 19, 1928 in Schleitheim ; † November 23, 2006 in Merishausen ) was a Swiss cyclist .

Russenberger was a professional driver from 1953 to 1955 as a member of the Delphin, Condor and Cilo teams.

At the Tour de Suisse in 1953, he won the mountain prize on the Grimsel . In the next year, 1954, he reached fourth place in the fifth stage from Lugano to Bern , and on the following day in the stage from Bern to Friborg he achieved fifth stage position. In the overall standings he reached ninth place.

Armin Russenberger's son, Marcel Russenberger , was also a professional cyclist and competed in the Tour de France three times in a row from 1982 to 1984 .
