Armin Scholl (economist)

Armin Scholl (born March 19, 1966 ) is an economist at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . He holds the chair for general business administration , especially management science.

Scholl has published several textbooks on the basics of business administration, operations research , decision theory, and production planning. His research focuses on decision support systems , flow production and optimization processes . He publishes in high-ranking international and national journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Computers & Operations Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Zeitschrift für Betriebswirtschaft .

In the Handelsblatt business economist ranking , which has been analyzing the research performance of 2,100 business economists in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland since 2005, measured by the quality of publications, it was ranked 6th in 2009.

Scholl is married and has five children.
