Armin Zitzmann (born September 21, 1960 in Nuremberg ) is a German manager and has been CEO of Nürnberger Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft, an insurance company based in Nuremberg, since January 2013.

Live and act

After graduating from high school and taking part in the armed forces, he began studying economics at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) in 1982 . Here he also completed his part-time doctorate in 1989 . Until 1992 he sold financial services in the upscale private customer business. From 1993 Armin Zitzmann held managerial positions in sales at Nürnberger Versicherung and has been a member of the management board since July 1999. Before he was elected Chairman of the Management Board, he had already been responsible for composite insurance as Deputy Chairman for five years. In September, the Swiss financial research company Obermatt voted him CEO of the year 2018 and awarded him the Goldpin in the “Growth Performance” category.

From December 2017, Armin Zitzmann held the office of Vice President of the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Middle Franconia. He succeeded Wolfgang Bastert, who left in the summer. On March 3, 2020, the general assembly of the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Middle Franconia elected Zitzmann as President in its constituent meeting with 72 of 73 votes present. He will lead the IHK from 2020 to 2024 as the successor to Dirk von Vopelius.

In addition, Armin Zitzmann has been active in various associations and clubs on a voluntary basis or part-time in committees and advisory boards. He participates in the Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft e. V. (GDV) in the Executive Committee for Corporate Management & Regulation as a member of the Economics Committee. In the employers' association of insurance companies in Germany (agv) he is a member of the tariff commission. Armin Zitzmann is also a member of the advisory board at Deutsche Bank AG and in Forum V, the North Bavarian Institute for Insurance Science and Economics at FAU. He is a member of the Presidium of the Bavarian Economic Advisory Council and the Administrative Council of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg . He also teaches Solvency II at the Chair of Insurance Management and Risk Management at FAU and also holds the exams.

Armin Zitzmann is married and has three daughters.
