The Armonini Nunatak is a partially snow-covered rocky outcrop in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises 8 km east-southeast of Mount Reu in the Prince Charles Mountains . A moraine area lies on the northwest flank of the Nunatak .
The formation was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1960 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . It is named after Giovanni C. Armonini, a meteorologist at Davis Station in 1962.
