The Armory Range is a mountain range in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand .

geography

The Armory Range is located southeast of the glacier regions of the New Zealand Alps , between the McCoy Stream and the Froude Range behind it in the northwest and the mountain ranges of the east-running Jollie Range , which on its southwestern side by the Sinclair River and on the northwestern side through the Kirk Stream is separated from the Armory Range . In the southwest Armory Range , the Clyde River passes between the mouth of the McCoy Stream and the mouth of the Sinclair River .

The mountain range, which is around 10 km long and runs in a south-west-north-east direction, finds its highest point with the 2580  m high The Warrior . 22 other peaks of the mountain range are over 2000  m .

Administratively, the Armory Range belongs to the Ashburton District .
