The Sinclair River is a 10 km long river in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand .
geography
The Sinclair River is formed by the outflow of the Outlaw Glacier , which moves east and south around the 2,394 m high Outlaw Peak . The river runs from its formation in a south-westerly direction and is flanked in the northwest by the mountain range of the Amouty Range and in the southeast by the Jollie Range . After its exit into the valley of the Clyde River , the river takes a south-easterly course for around 3 km and flows into the Clyde River after a total of 10 km .
