Arndt Sorge
Arndt Sorge (* 1945 in Düsseldorf ) is a German social and economic scientist.
Sorge studied economics (social science branch) at the University of Cologne , received his doctorate in 1975 in Münster and completed his habilitation in 1985 in Frankfurt am Main. He then worked as a research assistant for two years in Oxford and ten years at the Berlin Science Center for Social Research. From 1988 he was a professor for business administration - organization and international business and management in Maastricht, Tilburg, Groningen (until the end of 2010) and from 1992 to 1997 at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Until the end of 2010 he is acting director of the “Internationalization and Organization” department at the Berlin Social Science Centeras well as honorary professor at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam .
His research and publication interests are close to business: multinationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises; Origin and function of corporate governance codes; Multinationalization of business activity between Western and Eastern Europe; Organizational development and new careers in health care.
