Arne Dybfest

Arne Dybfest (born June 30, 1869 in Trondheim , † July 7, 1892 in Bergen ) was a Norwegian writer.

life and work

Arne Dybfest was a lyric poet and staunch anarchist who promoted anarchism in Norway through contributions a. a. made known in Fedraheimen.

In 1886 he supported Knut Hamsun's protests against the death sentences during the Chicago Haymarket Riots .

In 1892 Dybfest committed suicide near Bergen. His body was never found.

Stylistically, Dybfest represents a link between naturalism and neo-romanticism .
