Arne Jungjohann

Arne Jungjohann (born October 7, 1973 in Langenhagen ) is a German author and political advisor.

Life and work

Jungjohann studied political science at the Philipps University in Marburg and the Free University of Berlin . From 2000 to 2007 he headed the office of the Bundestag member Reinhard Loske . From 2007 to 2013, he worked for the Washington office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation as Program Director Environment and Global Dialogue. He then headed the department for fundamental issues in the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry under Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann . He has been a freelance author and consultant since 2014.

Together with Craig Morris, he wrote Energy Democracy - Germany's Energiewende to Renewables , a standard work on the German energy transition. In addition to climate and energy policy, he deals with questions of party, government and coalition research. With the multi-year project Green Government Practice - Governing in the Federal Association , he is researching how good governance works and is taking a look behind the scenes of the everyday government of coalitions.

Jungjohann is a member of the Green Academy of the Heinrich Böll Foundation and a lecturer at the Faculty for Cultural Reflection at the University of Witten / Herdecke . He is a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and founded the OV Washington in 2008, the first local association of a German party in the USA .
