Arnim Halter

Arnim Halter (born February 26, 1948 in Hombrechtikon ) is a Swiss actor and director .

Life

Arnim Halter completed his acting training from 1965 to 1967 in the Zurich Acting Association and from 1967 to 1969 with Etienne Decroux in Paris.

From 1970 to 1977 he worked as a freelance actor and director. He then had engagements at the Franconian-Swabian City Theater in Dinkelsbühl, at the Marburger Schauspiel and from 1980 to 1984 at the City Theater of St. Gallen .

Since 1984, Halter has been working as a freelance actor and director again. At the Stadttheater Bern , Atelier-Theater Bern, Stadttheater Chur, the Theater für Vorarlberg and the Stadttheater St. Gallen, among others .

In 1997, together with Helmut Schüschner and Regine Weingart, he founded the independent group Parfin de siècle , which has since staged productions and staged readings at various locations in St. Gallen .

Arnim Halter has been a lecturer at the St. Gallen University of Education and at the Rorschach teacher training college since 1990.
