Arno is a Franco-Belgian comic series published between 1983 and 1997 .

action

The series tells the story of the talented pianist Arno Firenze. As Napoleon's confidante, he uncovered several conspiracies and took part in the Egyptian campaign. The events after the campaign lead him to England .

background

The adventure series was based on an idea by Jacques Martin . He worked with André Juillard during the first three stories . Jacques Denoël was responsible for the graphic implementation of the next three albums. The first story was pre-published in Circus (1983) and the next two adventures in Vécu (1985 and 1986–1987, respectively). Glénat took over the album production. Only the first three albums were translated into German by comicplus + between 1987 and 1988 .
