Arnold Arens

Arnold Arens (born December 22, 1943 in lead washing ; † May 25, 2016 in Telgte ) was a German Romanist and Medievalist .

life and work

Arens studied Romance languages ​​at the University of Münster and received his doctorate in 1971 from Heinrich Lausberg . In 1972 he went (as an assistant) with Lausberg to develop Romance studies at the newly founded University of Paderborn . He completed his habilitation in 1982 and from 1987 was an academic senior counselor and adjunct professor in Paderborn.
