Arnold Dreyblatt
Arnold Dreyblatt (* 1953 in New York ) is an installation and performance artist, composer and musician .
Live and act
Dreyblatt studied composition and comparative musicology at Wesleyan University (composition studies with Alvin Lucier ) and media studies at the State University of Buffalo / USA (studies with Steina and Woody Vasulka , Paul Sharits. 1975–1976). After studying composition with La Monte Young (1975–1977), he has lived in Berlin since 1984 . At the Saar College of Fine Arts he held a visiting professorship , Intermedia (2001-2003). Dreyblatt has been Professor of Media Art - Art with Media at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel since 2009 . He has been a member of the Berlin Academy of the Arts since 2007 .
He has presented his works in the following exhibitions: Galerie Ozwei, Berlin (1992); Arken Museum for Modern Art , Copenhagen (1996); Felix Meritis Foundation, Amsterdam (1998); National Gallery in Hamburger Bahnhof (1999); Saarbrücken City Gallery , (2002); Galerie Anselm Dreher , Berlin (2003); Jewish Museum , Frankfurt (2005); National Gallery in Hamburger Bahnhof (2006); Galerie e / static, Torino (2007). Dreyblatt has numerous concerts, including a. given in Berlin , Paris , Dublin, New York , Austin and London .
