Arnold Küsters (2011)

Arnold Küsters (born November 23, 1954 in Breyell ) is a German journalist and writer.

Life

His father was a master butcher, as was his grandfather. His mother was a trained hat maker. From the 1976 winter semester onwards, Arnold Küsters studied, among other things, English and pedagogy, teaching qualification S II in Siegen . After his second state examination, he began his journalistic work in 1986, initially as a freelancer for the Westdeutsche Zeitung . In the same year he switched to West German radio , radio and television. Since then he has also worked for other media, e.g. B. for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit .

Since 2006, Arnold Küsters has been a member of the author network Das Syndikat with jury work a. a. for the Friedrich Glauser Prize and as initiator and co-organizer of the 25th Criminale (2011).

Küsters has appeared as a musician ( blues harp and percussion ) with various bands since 2000 . At Criminale 2011, he made his first public appearance with the world's only band made up of crime writers. Her name has been top secret since 2017 . His new novel is expected to be published by Penguin in spring 2021.

Arnold Küsters lives with his family in Mönchengladbach .
