Arnold Rørholt (lawyer)

Arnold Anderssøn Rørholt (born January 21, 1909 in Tønsberg , † 1986 ) was a Norwegian lawyer.

Life

Rørholt received the degree of candidata juris in 1932 and studied from 1932 to 1934 at the Geneva University Institute for International Studies . He then worked as a secretary at the International Labor Organization (ILO). From 1939 to 1950 he was Secretary General of the Norwegian Red Cross.

He then worked as a representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees , in 1951 in the Federal Republic of Germany and from 1957 to 1969 in Austria.
