Arnold Retzer

Arnold Retzer (* 1952 ) is a German physician , psychotherapist , teaching therapist and author . Arnold Retzer belongs to the Heidelberg School , which has been under the direction of Helm Stierlin , the first full professor and medical director, since the mid-1980s , from 1974 to 1991, the newly created department for psychoanalytic basic research and family therapy at the medical faculty of the Ruperto Carola in Heidelberg.

After studying medicine, psychology and sociology, Arnold Retzer worked from 1987 at the University Hospital of Heidelberg University until 1991 as a research assistant and senior physician in the department for basic psychoanalytic research and family therapy .

1988 Arnold Retzer was with a dissertation on interaction phenomena in systemic family first interview at the medical faculty of the University of Heidelberg Dr. med. PhD .

Arnold Retzer has given lectures and seminars in Europe, Argentina and China.
