Arnold S. Caplin

Arnold S. "Arnie" Caplin (born May 8, 1929 in Brooklyn , New York City , † December 25, 2009 in Pittsfield , Massachusetts ) was an American music producer .

He is best known as the founder and (former) operator of the record labels " Historical Records " and " Biograph Records " , which were influential in the 1960s and 1970s and specialized in ragtime , jazz , blues and country re-releases, as well as the 1970 von Richard K. Spottswood took over the label " Melodeon Records ".
