Arnold von Quedlinburg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arnold von Quedlinburg (* before 1229 , † after 1265 ) was a German chronicler of the 13th century.

A protonotary Arnold is nowhere mentioned in Quedlinburg documents of the 13th century, but two canons of that name, who could be considered here. The older of them can be found as early as 1229 and has been pastor at the Church of St. Blasii (Quedlinburg) since 1231 . At the same time as a witness, a second Arnold first appeared in a document from Abbess Gertrud von Ampfurth in 1239. He was custodian at the collegiate church St. Servatius (Quedlinburg) , has been recorded as chaplain of the abbess mentioned since 1252 and appears last in a document from 1265.
