Arnold von Rosenstiel (born July 29, 1864 in Gorgast , Lebus district ; † January 24, 1926 ) was a royal Prussian district administrator in the Lissa district (1898–1907) in the province of Posen .

Life

Rosenstiel was born as one of seven children of Gorgast's domain tenant Gustav von Rosenstiel . In 1896 he married Elfriede von Wilamowitz-Moellendorff (* May 14, 1876; † February 9, 1952), a daughter of Hugo von Wilamowitz-Moellendorff , with whom he had two sons, one of whom survived. Through his marriage he came into possession of the Lipie and Osniszczewo estates in the province of Poznan. During his studies in Heidelberg in 1883 , like his brother Conrad before , he had become active in the Corps Saxo-Borussia . He was Rittmeister of the Reserve, as well as legal knight of the Order of St. John .
