Arpeni ( Armenian Արփենի ) is a village in Armenia . It lies at an altitude of 1900 to 1970 meters. Informally, it is divided into old and new Arpeni. The new village was built after the 1988 earthquake . Until 1978 the place was called Palutli or Palutlu .

In the village there is a church from the 19th century.
