Arrigo Morselli

Arrigo Morselli (born June 5, 1911 in Modena , † October 16, 1977 ) was an Italian football player and coach. He played in the center forward position.

For the 1933/34 season Arrigo Morselli moved from FC Modena to the then Serie A club AC Fiorentina . Morselli stayed here until the 1937/38 season when he moved to CFC Genoa , but he only stayed in Genoa for two seasons and returned to Fiorentina for the 1939/40 season. This season he won the Coppa Italia with AC Fiorentina . On the 1940/41 season, Morselli then moved to AC Milan .

After his playing career he acted as a coach. The first more important station was in the 1951-52 season at the third division club ASD Vigevano Calcio 1921, based near Milan . For the 1953-54 season he was committed by the first division club AC Milan - at that time occupied by the Swedish stars Gunnar Nordahl and Nils Liedholm . There he was, lying in fifth place, after the ninth game day replaced by Béla Guttmann , under whom the team finished the season in third. From 1954 to 1956 he looked after the team from Calcio Lecco 1912, which is based on the southeastern tip of Lake Como . At that time the team was fourth and fifth of the series C .
