Arrowsmith Iceland (English, Bulgarian остров Ароусмит ostrow Arousmit ) is in west, southwest-east-northeast orientation 2.53 km long and 0.9 km wide island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . As one of the Pitt Islands in the Biscoe Islands archipelago , it is 1.43 km southeast of Pickwick Island , 0.5 km south of Tupman Island and 0.9 km northwest of Fizkin Island .
British scientists mapped it in 1971. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the British cartographer Aaron Arrowsmith (1750–1823), who published a map of the southern polar region in 1794.
