The Arroyo Guaviyú is a river in northern Uruguay .
It rises in the area of the Departamento Artigas in the Cuchilla Yacaré Cururú a few kilometers west-southwest of the department capital Artigas and near the Ruta 30 . From there it flows in a north to north-easterly direction and flows a few kilometers northwest of Artigas about one kilometer downstream from Paso Layado as a left tributary into the Río Cuareim .
