The Arroyo Mataojo Grande , also known as the Arroyo del Mataojo Grande , is a river in Uruguay .
The Arroyo Mataojo Grande rises in the western flank of the Cuchilla de Haedo . It takes an extensive course in the territory of the Salto department . It is fed by the tributaries Arroyo Tigre , Arroyo Mauricio and Arroyo de la Horqueta , among others . It finally flows on the left into the upper reaches of the Río Arapey .
