The Arroyo Tamanduá is a river in northern Uruguay .
It rises in the area of the Departamento Artigas in the Cuchilla Yacaré Cururú a few kilometers south of the department capital Artigas near Puntas de Tamanduá . From there it flows in a northerly direction, crosses under Ruta 4 and flows a few hundred meters northwest of Artigas as a left tributary into the Río Cuareim .
