The ass cramps

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Die Arschkrampen is the title of a series of radio plays by Dietmar Wischmeyer , which was first broadcast in 1989 on the Frühstyxradio of Radio ffn . In 1992 a maxi single was also released under the title Brettermeier Die Pottsau - Arschkrampen-Tekkno . In the meantime, Frühstyxradio has produced several CDs of the Arschkrampen.

Style and plot

The ass cramps are initially a parody of alcoholism and conversations in pubs on a regular table slogan level. In later publications win the Arschkrampen of satirical and socially critical approaches. The main venue is the fictional village pub at Bei Gertrud , at whose counter the unemployed Kurt Krampmeier and Gürgen Ferkulat consume beer or Alster with various unusual additives such as tsatsiki (baller broth) or strawberry yoghurt (Alster-E) and discuss various topics. Other venues are the Bello der Bretterpenne, Gürgens apartment or, for example, the iguana land. Some scenes are satirises on films such as King Kong , Dinner for One , Casablanca or Das Boot .

The series fakes the meeting of a reluctant high school graduate with a self-absorbed member of the lower class , who is mostly right through rough slogans and insults, intimidation, and later also through flimsy arguments or strategies of confusion, even with very absurd claims. According to the author Dietmar Wischmeyer, the butt cramps are a "philosophical series about life".

In various episodes the characters rebel against the author and refuse to stick to the manuscript .

Characters

Kurt (voiced by Dietmar Wischmeyer )

Kurt Krampmeier (in two episodes: Kurt Adolf Amadeus Krampmeier) is an alcohol addict. He maintains a strongly conservative basic attitude and misogynistic ideas and lives this out in the form of open aggressiveness, especially towards his only interlocutor Gürgen, whom he insults and humiliates at every opportunity. The main goals of Kurt are simply to get alcohol quickly and cheaply and to prevent Brettermeier from taking over the world. Kurt doesn't have a job. However, he founds an " Ich-AG ". In one episode ("Escape from the GDR"), in which he kidnaps Gürgen to the GDR, the impression arises that Kurt is Brettermeier himself, because an NVA captain calls him "First Lieutenant Brettermeier".

Gürgen (voiced by Oliver Kalkofe )

Jürgen "Gürgen" Ferkulat, often just called "piglet" or "piglet woolen", is much more educated than Kurt, but always fails because of his inferiority complexes, which are expressed in subservience. This submissiveness also results in his permanent failure with women, which is why he occasionally secretly pursues his porcophile inclinations. Despite all the humiliations he has suffered, he describes Kurt as his only friend, because he always protects him from Brettermeier. Gürgen still lives with his mother and is married to Krissa Marylin Warzenbrock. In later episodes, Gürgen tries to get together with his childhood sweetheart "Sylvie Hammertitte". However, she dies after the divorce from "Tomato Kopp" and leaves behind two children.

Brettermeier

Albert Brettermeier is the antagonist in "Die Arschkrampen". As a running gag , Brettermeier is always associated with cucumbers, iguanas or yellow pants that he supposedly wears in radio plays.
The fact that he never appears directly and changes his first name in some stories suggest that it arises from Kurt's paranoia; Occasionally, however, Brettermeier is used to allude to other people. For this purpose, the first name is adjusted (for example "Victor Brettermeier" as an allusion to Victor László from Casablanca ) or a title is added (for example "Greatest Cucumber Leader of All Time" as an allusion to Adolf Hitler ). His fictional lover Hillary Brettermeier (on the CD Arschkrampen in the Land of Iguanas ) is an allusion to the former US first wife Hillary Clinton . However, it later becomes known that Brettermeier is the brother of Kurt, who was approved for prohibition by his parents at the time. So for Kurt as an alcoholic this is of course the enemy.

Giuseppe Eilert

Giuseppe Eilert, or "Eilert, the asshole" ("the asshole" is often referred to as an honorary title by Kurt) is Kurt's drinking buddy, but he never appears (only when Kurt and Gürgen are in heaven, he makes a few sounds of yourself). Kurt was on the boarding table with him. Eilert is 52 years old and supposedly the grandson of Gertrud, the bar owner. He is revered by Kurt as a genius and life artist and seems to be constantly pursuing a profession. At times he works in a Swedish furniture store and organizes Kurt “B-Ware” from the meatballs offered there. In other episodes, Eilert works as a night watchman in the zoo, where he and Kurt molest chimpanzees and other animals. In one episode he is the city of Duisburg's women's representative, which is why he even has his "worm" removed. On the CD “Testament” Kurt and Gürgen end up in heaven after being eaten by a giant iguana with Maggi and find out that Gíuseppe Eilert (the asshole) is derived from “Josef Eilhaard”, which is then a synonym for God.
